After School Program @ The Drop at Mitchell Park Community Center

Hello-

My name is Alicia Gregory and I work for a non profit called Youth Community Service. Our mission is to promote an ethic of service learning to high school and middle school students. We do this through delivering service learning curriculum and engaging students in service projects within their community. 

We have an after school program every Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 at the Drop at Mitchell Park Community Center that we are trying to spread the news about. 

This program is designed to get students involved in service in their communities. Students will play fun and interactive games that educate them about social issues within their communities. Such issues include: hunger and homelessness, art and activism, respect for the earth, non-violence, youth voice and civic engagement. 

Students learn about the social issues through fun activities and then are invited to participate in monthly service field trips relating to the topic they are learning about. 

We would appreciate and love your support in helping us recruit more students to our program by possibly posting on your online website about our program. I have written a small little bulletin below that I hope can possibly make it onto the PTA website.
